   rite there how hard is it to get hold of a 40mm lowering kit for my mk1 vtr, i've tryed all sorts of places, i understand that im limited as i have a budget of £250 ( due to it being my birds bday soon ).
   but can anyone give me any links to get hold of a kit please, any help will be appreciated. thanks.

   250 is quite a bit for 40mm lowering kit, dont really see many restrictions with that cash.

   As above... £250 is a nice amount of money to play with.
   
   You could get yourself a Spax kit for way under that. I paid around £200 for my 60mm kit.
   
   Does your budget price include the amount it will cost to have your car lowered (i.e. lowering springs/kit + labour = £250)? If so, then you might have a few problems in getting a 40mm kit and to have it fitted for less than £250. You could of course just get yourself a set of 40mm lowering springs which will set you back around £50, spend around £150 on lowering and then the other £50 towards your car or at the worst... your girlfriend's birthday present.
