What to choose?

looking for a new exhaust system on a budget. So far I have the choice of:

peco - stainless steel system for £209.50

    or

piper - mid steel system for £193.50

Can any1 recomend these? Or should I save up for another system like magnex?

not bothered about sound or performance, just want a good aftermarket system.

    Cheers

Magnex is a good safe bet for an exhaust, piper are also good as are scorpion

Depends what you want. A mild steel system you may need to replace at some point in the future, a stainless system you shouldn't need to. I think peco is more a loud system than performance, whereas magnex and scorpion are quieter, with piper being a bit louder but all 3 with good performance. I have a cat back magnex system and have to admit I didn't notice much of a difference in performance. So I'd say if you don't mind the noise get the peco system if you're not too bothered about performance etc.

i heard peco were pretty good, my mechanic mate had one on his.
    edit: was a corsa lol

Peco's are fine, had loads in the past.

Mild steels systems will easily last two years and for most younger drivers this is the length of time the car will stay will them, so I dont think its really an issue.

If you looking to stick to around the £200 mark try lookin on eBay as you maybe able to find a new full system at a good price.

There are soooooo many options wen it comes to exhausts its more to do with personal chooce and tailpipe options.

Take a look here http://www.performancecentre.co.uk/p/sv_pt.asp?CC=3 just to get an idea of whats aviable :-)

I would of thought to look for a stainless system over a mild steel system.

Mild steel doesnt look as good a finish and may sound a bit louder.

Think I might give peco a go since the place near me sells/installs them

    ^^^

    Can argue with that

Think your be well happy with a Peco system, pretty throaty note, what tailpipe you going for?

they have all the designs. but will prob go for the 3" inward rolled pipe.
dont think the 4" jap style ones will suit ma car. but will wait and see

sometime 4" is alittle too big for the saxo 3" looks super sweet, but must admit seen few 4" and looked nice.

When you looking to buy and get fitted?

if it doesnt perform, or it doesnt make noise, why you need a diff zorst?

the exhaust on ma car at the moment looks pish. and was just asking for every1s opinion on a cheap system. was only saying I'm not bothered bout the sound (raspy or deep tone).
Or - if I should spend more money ie £300 on a magnex for a better performance gain.
