BREAKS are these.....

    just got my car serviced for oils etc etc whilst there they advised me the rear disc and pads need changing so gonna get some decent ones intead of standards.......

    any reply is greatful as normal honest and sensible replys

    Mintex Pads are supposed to be very good indeed. As for the Disks they look ok to me, double check what make they are though perhaps and see if you can find any reviews of them first, some drilled ones can be prone to cracking.

    Overall though looks like a good buy

    only way drilled discs will crack is if they heat up till they are actually 'red' hot. and your rears aren't going to do that.

    not really worth udprgading rears as they dont really do anything

    whats the standard disc size lol should know this tbh but i dont lol???????????????????????????????????

    these disc i want to buy are
    247mm diameter will these fit on ok or will there bea problem at all im not gonna fit these il let the garage do it but want to make sure i dont buy somat that aint even gonna fit correctly........

    standard discs and pads will set you back about £40 so you might aswell imo!

    i had to change my discs the other day and bought a standard set from halfords £24 just for the front discs then pads were another £18! rip off imo but then again i haven't a clue about cars haha

    Yeah upgrading rears wont do much as most of the braking is done at the front. Save your money and replace them with standard ones.
