1998(R) Saxo VTR
Is it the blue or green lamda sensor? (or will I stop being lazy and pop the bonnet and look)

i had this prob with my vts, when u find out which one you want you then find out that there is different connectors aswell

They never make it easy do they?
My problem could be extended with the fact that I have the 2003 engine fitted in a 1998 car.

as you have the new engine you will have both the sensors

Well, no actually. Long story, but its the 2003 block, but still using the MK1 ECU.
It still uses the mk1 exhaust and manifold, so it only has the 1 sensor.

I'll get off my lazy ass and go look after work.
The EML is on constantly and the car is running like a bag of nails.
It was plugged into the diagnostics machine a while back (still not had it fixed) and it was the lambda sensor which was showing the error.
I just hope I've not damaged the engine, as the EML has been on for nearly a year, and now MOT time is looming, it'll need sorting.

u should try the map sensor first mate as when they are faulty it cause the lambda sensor to go bonkers

wouldn't the diagnostics machine pick up that fault?
