Mk1 Smoked Headlights...Pics Too

  1. #1
Not all the light has been sprayed, just the front reflective part, leaving the second reflective section for visibility and Mot (as im told these will pass mot as they are now.)

Done them earlier and used a mini heater to warm the glue.

Will get pics on the car tomorrow when theres slightly more light lol,
think they look much better already.

so would they fail the MOT if you painted the other reflective part aswell?

i think they will look good with smoked indicators.

i'm guessing it will be the same as the mk2 lights but a bit simpler due to the shape.

i have used gloss black with laquer, took picture before applying laquer.

just tried them on the sax, shone lights on a wooden fence which i tried before and the beam is no different.

    took lights off car.
warmed up sealant and opened lens.
    primer, spray etc...
    resealed.
    refitted.

    Bob's your uncle.

how long did it take you and what did you use to heat up the sealant? did you stick them in the oven?
