How much lower is the VTR standard set up than the Furio standard set up. If any. Cheers.

#2They should be the same mate, never heard it was any different, even it is different it wouldnt be worth changing as you could get your car lowered for about the same price if not cheaper.

#3Cheers mate. I know the S is lower than other models by about 10mm but i heard the VTR was lower than the furio by about the same. Its just ive been looking at lowering amounts and i think 40mm actually would be a better choice on VTR alloys than 60 as the handling wouldnt be shite and it looks spot on. I already bought a kit for 60mm a while back but I think im gonna sell that now and when i eventually lower it I will buy a 40mm kit.
-
#4should go 60 ! dont know how people over come rubbing on full lock to pass mot tho
-
#5I'm down 60mm on 15's... Am fine on full lock

But as for the difference in height between the Furio and the VTR. There will be none (if any). Definitely not visable to the naked eye. -
#6on matts thread, said he failed mot because he had rub on full lock before he got his new set up !! im stuck in two minds of how low to go too, because i dont want no failing buisness, yet i wanna go 55 !
-
#7mines 60mm on 15s only just touches shit guard by a midges dick!
-
#8Yeh... some people do get it and some people don't. I'm one of the lucky ones
The only problems MOT garages forsee is getting the car on the ramp and then being able to run the jack from front to back thus checking the suspension/struts, etc...
But... my wheels do come with built in spacers thus pushing the wheel out towards the outside of the arch. This is probably why I don't get rubbing on full lock. -
#9i know this is a huge thread hi-jack, but k.
do you rekon only going down 55, so 5mm make the difference of rubbing and not rubbing on stanny vtr alloys. -
#10The rubbing is usually on the internal arch lining... By raising it 5mm wouldn't make any difference to be honest. Have you taken out the internal arch liners? You could try spacing the wheels out (i.e. 10mm spacers). But I'm not sure if that would solve the problem. By doing that, you'd have to fork out for extended bolts. However, if you were putting 5mm spacers on, then you might be able to get away with using the standard bolts.

#11pm'd...

#12Theres lots of speed bumps in my area, the ones into my college are insane some of my mates wont even go down there in their cars, plus I dont really want to be so low that it handles really badly, and im not fitting Koni sports to a furio. I think this sits just right;

#13Hopcraft... PM replied to

Ben_Saxo... That sits fine. There's one thing you're missing. Smoked fogs

#14I 'heard' that the furio sat at the same height as the 1.1's
VTR sat 10mm lower.
VTS sat 10mm lower than a VTR.
Probably shite though
-
#15Yep... I think that is shite. Haha! So a VTS sits 20mm lower than a Furio!?! Hmmm.
-
#16As i say i 'heard' this. Can't even remember where now. Might have been the Citroen dealers, in which case. Yeah that was a total pack of lies.
I'm sure the VTS sits lower as standard though. -
#17It has a different suspension set-up... There might/should be a height difference but I wouldn't say 20mm. Oh well
-
#18What i heard aswell i think it was on here. And that isnt my car Damo but your right.Quote:I 'heard' that the furio sat at the same height as the 1.1's
VTR sat 10mm lower.

Probably shite though
And your pic looks like my driving instructor. Little freaky -
#19I dont even think the vts sits lower than a vtr as they always look higher if anything.
