Im thinking of getting a two twin cat back system for my Mk1 VTR, i know that fitting a whole system will increase power slightly, but i have heard that fitting two twins will decrease power, is this true?

#2how the hell you gonna fit 2 cat back systems? there's only one cat? im guessing you mean a twin outlet either side. if so, then ok,but it runs from one, then into two pipes and then to the back boxes.
wont really decrease power.maybe a slight increase -
#3Yea one cat and twin either side

#4piper, miltek, powerflow.
-
#5ave got one twin at the min and am gettin another for the summer, will increase ur bhp a little as has bin said and as wiv an air filter wiv every engine modd it will make the difference more obvious!!

#6Shouldn't think it wud decrease power, cos u have 2.
-
#7sweet, jus some random bull i heard then. hoping to get a powerflow system as there is a garage that does them just near me, ive got a pipercross induction already on the car too.
-
#8it could decrease power, if the bore of the exhaust was to large it could decrease power.
Just to confuse you some more
-
#9wot about mine, i am gonna have 43.5inch wud that be okay??

#10depends on the bore before the back box as well, the actual size of the tail pipe usually bears no relation to the bore before it, i.e. a 5 inch tail pipe does not mean a 5 inch bore as that would be completely ridiculous and redundant on most cars
-
#11oh rite dont know then but its from ascar so they know wot they r doin!

#12Go with powerflow, thats what I've got, four 4" pipes, didn't decrease the power at all, plus it sounds real deep for a 1.4
-
#13and looks mint!!
-
#14How much did it cost !!
-
#15Certifiable your car is sweet man, i think i wil go with powerflow
-
#16Cheers, there r more pics of the car in the pics section. It was £440 for the full s/s system. The advantage of powerflow is that you get to pick exactly how you want it to sound i.e. how loud n how deep, plus it comes with a lifetime warranty
