Little panel underneath headlight removal - How?

Hi guys, right, after the mix up with my headlights (sent one with cracked lens) I now have my new smoked headlights to go in.

New bulbs an' all with Ring Sportzblue headlights and LED sidelights as well.

Now, tried installing these bad boys and need a bit of advice for the removal of the little bpdy panel underneath the light itself. I know that they are brittle and can snap easily, but how should I take them out - jimmy them with a screwdriver or something?

Is there actually any need for me to do this? or can i reach the bottom bolt without removing it? Got a 10mil spanner for the bolts, and I notice from the new headlight, that the hole for it appears centred with the filament of the bulb.

Also, before I forget, the new headlights underneath, seems to have a slot which looks like the whole headlight slides into the car, is this right?

the headlight trim at the bottom is very delicate mate, pull at one side and slowly pull again so the other side comes out, i snapped my clips on mine so i used door clips trimmed them so theyd fit and clipped them back in, just take your time, as for the bolt under the light use a wobble bar and then undo it, the slot thing your talking about a cant remember but am sure it goes into the car like what your talking about, it will only go in one way really, you cant go wrong

Had a look tonight. It does seem really brittle and I'm scared to snap it off and fuck it up. (Need my car for work and it's raining as always in Manchester).

Should I get a garage to do it to be on the safe side?
