exhaust knocking

hey i was just wandering if anyone could help me. My exhaust seems to be knocking qutie abit i dont know what it could be. Is there any heat proof plates other than the one at the back near the backbox because ive took that off !!! thanks for any help .

sometimes the cat has a heat shield on them aswell or may be a broken exhaust rubber

Has it just started making the noise? Have u reccently fitted new back box, manifold out like that?

Is it a full system? Could be knocking on the gear linkage if so.

ive got a standard mani, then a supersprint centre section de-cat'd, then a piper backbox.. i need to get under it to be honest !!! take a look thanks for any help !!!!!

fairy. when i fitted the centre section for you your rubber bungy on the centre section was about on its way out. if your stuck mate then i got one you can have! you know my numba youth!

First give the tailpipe a good wiggle about if there seems to be excess movement then its fair to say it could be a hanger, morelikly to be near the back.

If not, stick it on a high kerb or ramps and again be pretty jenerous with the exhaust give it a good shake and see if you can see where its knocking.

A join could have come loose and system could have twisted out of shape or even if a hanger hasnt split it maybe stretched and out of shape.

For the price of a set of new hangers might just be as well to chuck a new set on, then take it from there.
