Where do I put it? The instructions are naff. Cheers.

Also where do I put this exactly, which came with no instructions at all:

    What's a mod chip?
  3. #3
What make & model will this module work on?

All petrol cars manufactured on or after 1988 including turbo & super charged engines. All electronic fuel injected petrol cars manufactured before 1989 including turbo & super charged engines.

Will it work on a diesel engine?

Regrettably it won't work on a diesel engine.

    Will it affect my MPG?

Previous tests have found that there is an increase in miles per gallon.

I have an induction kit and/or performance exhaust-will it fit?

    Yes, it will fit perfectly.

I have a 'chip' fitted to my car-will it still work?

Tests have proven that our module will work absolutely fine when used with a “chip”.

If I want to remove it can it easily be removed without trace?

Yes. This is because the module can easily be fitted and removed without any cutting or soldering within minutes. It can also be removed for MOT's, Services etc if needed within 1 minute and refitted with no adverse effects, meaning you can take it out when you like!

I'm selling my car, can I transfer it over?

Yes. The module will fit ANY PETROL car manufactured on or after 1988 and any fuel injected petrol car manufactured before 1988

    How does it work?

The module modifies any standard ECU by telling the ECU that the incoming air in the intake system is cold and so advances the ignition to compensate producing more power. In many cases fuel economy is increased too. Power is increased by up to +25BHP and torque is increased significantly.

did you buy it on ebay for less than 100p?
  5. #5
Basically a little electronic resistor goes somewhere, but i'm not too sure where..
  6. #6
    Yeah very cheap
  7. #7
Do yourself a favour mate, unless you want your engine to get tricked into fucking itself up then throw that shitty ebay resitor in the bin asap. To fit the air filter you should just undo the jubilee clip and attach it to the throttle body, the black box at the top. The hole is onthe right hand side
  8. #8
put it in the bin they dont work its all a con
  9. #9
don't fit it or your car will run lean and ruin your engine.
  10. #10
lol you should get the idea by now then its not worth having!

as ben said for the induction kit.
is it a universal kit? make sure it is a tight seal where it joins the throttle body if it is. you dont want to be sucking any rubbish in

Cheers guys, advice taken, was pennies to buy and I have a friend who has one in and its been ok so far on his, but if theres long term engine damage then no ta, cheers

Cheers, I'll do that when it stops raining!
  13. #13
No worries mate if you have any issues then ill put pics up etc. And you made the right choice those resistors arent clever
  14. #14
    Correct?

  15. #15
No mate, the Jubilee clip up and to the left is the one. The black box you got it connected too there is the standard air box, thats coming straight out

Also the small pipe just to the left of the filter on that pic, that has a small amount of oil coming out of it over time. You need to buy a little catch tank off ebay for the oil, or get a pipe to extend the filter out a bit, cut a hole in that pipe and then slide the small pipe coming off the the top of the engine into this pipe.
  16. #16
nope thats not right remove the big black box what you have put the filter aginst in that pic and conect it to the throrttle body

you will need a breather filter for the breather pipe to
  17. #17
    Now?
  18. #18
    Like this mate;

    Like this with the pipe for the oil (breather pipe) fitted correctly;

See that little pipe below the brown tube, that has to go into there, or you can get little filters from halfords to put on that little pipe which do the same, for a while at least.
