    can u get the rev limiter tacken off if so how? and is it a gd idear? thanks

    with standard cams peak power is below the rev limiter. You'd gain nothing performance wise by raising it or removing it

    Thats basicly the only point that need be made, unless you're gonna track or car or sumthn in which case u wnt care if it gets destroyed, taking the limiter off would be silly, hower an extra few hundred revs would sound pretty kool wiv a nice exhaust.

    Not a good idea as suggested, it's there for a good reason.

    yeah you can feel the engine get tired before the limiter, so no point in going above it is there?

    There's fock all torque beyond the limiter (and before)

    wouldnt bother unless its got some advanced mods

    oh cheers i thought it would be an bad idear, its just im going to santa pod in july and im tryin to get sum cheap easy mods that will help with the quarter mile... any idears?????

    Theres isn't any cheap mods that will make much difference if you want to improve your time your talking alot more money.

    strip the car, best performance increase per £ available.

    ok will do. well wot i have planed is to get an air filter, de-cat pipe, and possilbe a ecu chip, then take most of it back off when im done

    dont bother with thechip. why do you just wnat these mods for that day? seems pointless to me. imo you should run your car up the strip in the way it is everyday, if you have full interior run it with full interior.

    its just if i put all those mods on all the time i need to tell my insurance dont i... and i dont want to pay more stupid money... im already payin to much cos im 18 and have 3 points. and i make f all.

    try having 10 points, 1 write-off, another claim and having a cammed vts

    i very much doubt that those mods will increase your insurance by much.

    hopefully it will be done by july. its a VW nova kit car based on a bettle.
    its havin a 2lt twin cam porse engine.


    this aint his one cos his is still being worked on but thats what it looks like.
    i think he will win if i did race him lol

    wouldnt take it off mate it protects ya engine, if you go to garage they culd probably do it for you...

    they cant. its in the ecu so you would need a map that went on forever if you know what i mena? its not something you can just unbolt.
