What do you think on oversizing throttle body. The standart TB is 52mm i am going to make it 56mm. I sow this on one greek saxo vts. They did 167hp with newman's ph2 cams + oversized TB + 11,2 compression + remap. Look at this http://www.lioliosracing.gr/main.php?id=142&lang=en

#2i have mine ported and it doesnt make that much differnce.
im getting a c2 vts inlet manifold and am going to try an mi16 throttle body on it. -
#3What is the difference between saxo inlet and c2 inlet? Also you will probably loose your idle with so bigger throttle body and remap will be must.
-
#4i have had my car maped but will be getting map adjusted after fitting these.
c2 vts inlet:

#5Interested in this Williams, keep me posted

#6yer keep us posted.
by the way you cant machine out a vts throttlebody without machining out the inlet manifold as they sit flush with each other. hence the reason you can only buy port & polished throttlebodies not enlarged throttlebodies. -
#7you can buy enlarged throttle bodies, jenvey do them. £250 each.
will keep evryone posted on this. -
#8i have a TB off a 106 rallye. yet to fit it though
-
#9onto what? its the inlet manifold you want to be using.
-
#10just ordered my c2 inlet, need to sort gti6 throttle body and then start bodging them together
-
#11have a look at your standard throttlebody when its open.
its flush with the the inlet manifold around the entire circumference of the throttlebody. if you put a bigger throttlebody on it would make the airflow worse as it would be hitting a flat rim on the inlet manifold. ist like porting your exhaust ports but not matching the gasket & manifold if you get me?.
also this is a bit off subject but i fitted my cams and had my head gas flowed and the car feels quite a bit quicker than before and i havnt had it mapped yet. (only 4 days to go though) its just that i thought that tere wasnt much of a difference till you had it mapped? -

you can buy enlarged throttle bodies though. you can also enlargen the c2 inlet as its metal and has enough material to bore some out. -
#13yer iv not seen em for the saxo but i wouldnt question that you can buy an enlarged throttlebody for the sax. i was just saying that without the inlet manifold being matched it wouldnt make a difference.
there is a little bit to be bored on the standard vts inlet but metal is allways better!(apart from the extra few kilos)
this c2 inlet jobby is sounding quite a good mod! -
#14manifold has arrived but they've sent the wrong 1!!!!! tits
