I know tyres get more expensive the lover profile you get, but why? Even use less rubber lol

I guess because people will pay over the odds for 'sports' designated equipment. Also there isnt much of a market for 195/40/R15's, which means smaller batch productions... economies of scale blah blah... thus higher prices

whats wrong with a 45 profile tyre? its not like you need a lower profile with 15's.
i've checked "black circles" and "my tyres" and neither of them sell them.
My Tyres said "you have selected a proper tyre size but please ring for a quote"

i doubt a 40 profile tyre will add anything to the euro look over a 45 profile tyre. it seems pointless to me. also it will make the ride less comfy and your going to be paying more for the pleasure.

I thought the euro thingy was about getting daft width tyres (like 165s) then wrapping them over the wheel???

sod it, go for 35 profile, go mad.
if these 40 profile things do exist i reckon you're gonna coughing up ~£400 and those will probably be a kak make too

Tyres can ruin a car, but anyway I was only asking, not like I was 100% into getting them!
So cheers for all the help people!
