   Hey,
   
   Does this really help to keep the heat away from the rest of the car or is it just a extra weight part not needed?
   
   I have a enclosed normal airbox with a panel filter so it should ne effect that will it?

   yes it is there for a reason, some people choose to leave them on and others take them off, it is up to you

   you wont notice any effect
   
   though standard manifolds look better with the cover

   ok, I might take it off, sand it down and spary it so it looks better, or suppose I could polish it up, think this is easy to do?

   its an absolute bollox to get into all the wee grooves of it, not sure if its the right metal to polish even??
