What do you want out of it?

    Up to 40mm - Handling
    Over 40mm - Looks

    35/40mm is considered best handling.

Also depends what wheels you have of course. I'm thinking of 16's when i get a VTR and only lowering 30mm to avoid any issues at all.

You can go down 60mm plus on 16's as long as you have 40 profile tyres, you wont get any rubbing either.

It's really just the look i'm going for. I don't want to mod the arches too much and a real slammed look doesn't 'do it' for me for some reason. Subtle is the key IMHO.

is arch work needed with a 60 mm drop?

Not on 16's with a 40 profile no, may have to remove the arch liners. Any bigger wheels or tyre profile will cause rubbing.

A 1.1 should be ok lowered around 40mm and rear torsion bar to match on those tires, my old one didnt buff on 45s

when i have 2 peeps in the back though it rubs on the drivers side a touch. I've had the inner lip rolled up aswell...i know i'm just bragging i have 2 friends lol. I'm considering 35mm. is it worth telling insurance too? What springs did you use?
