Lower Strut Brace

    just ordered my lower strut brace from Demon Tweeks and they have said it will be with me tomorrow, good service!

    my question is, has anyone got any tips on how to fit it?

    im sure i read that you need to jack up the car but not fully just so the suspension is raised, not fully sure though!

    Ordered mine from rallydesign along with my suspension kit but waiting to fit it all in one go.

    Be intrested to also know how it fits.

    Ideally, you would want the car on a set of axle stands for safety and to get the car high enough. Place these under the sill on the chassis member, just forward of the jacking point.

    Simply undo both nuts from the wishbones but DO NOT take out the bolt as your suspension may collapse. Just in case dont do it!

    Simply slide the brace over the bolts making sure the brace is the correct way round and place the nuts back onto the bolt. With the OMP one, the nut sits inside the brace and its sometimes hard to get the nut on. So you can knock the bolt back abit but be really careful not to hit it too far.

    Then simply tighten everything back up with the correct spanners and sockets.

    You could do with a friend helping you too.

    pretty simple to fit, i got mine done in garage when it was in for mot, thought i may as well, omp one is a little akward to put on
