good or bad deal

   told a friend about vts engine i got today.. he drives a corsa (nuf said) and said that it was a really bad deal
   wot i got......
   
   
   vts engine
   loom
   gear box
   
   engine has 22000 on it with full service history from citreon.out of a 52 reg saxo vts. the car was owned by a old woman
   
   i payed 800.. i think i prob got one of the best engines around at mo. wot you guys reckon

   why you think that.. every other engine i seen about 500 and had about 70000...

   im not sure on the price of then engine. but just spending that amount of money for a engine. why not of just put the 800 ontop of what you had for a car and buy a vts.
   
   sorry id just rather waste my money on other things.

   i no it seems steep i just didnt think it wer that bad.. ma mate was explainin that you could have a red top 16v put in a corsa for that.. i did try to explain that red tops are about 20 years old

   coz i am happy with way ma car is. i could only sell mine for a los.. and i no my car. i no its been looked after since new.

   id still rather put 800 quid on something that doesnt decrease in value everytime you use it.

    mate you got a good deal, and your mates an idiot, ask him if for 800 quid would that include the conversion kit for the corsa alot of stupid corsa drivers ignore that you need that for 2litre red tops to go in a corsa, my mates doing it now.

    should be all finished for sat. got old engine out just cleanin all engine bay... i hope its going to put a big smile on my face

    bit pricey because you should have got the ECU and transpoder and keys for that much.

    good deal mate, i was going to do the same, axo16V on SSC works in a breakers and gets hold of 20K milage saxo vts engines etc all the time and sells them for £850 including everything needed for conversion, but ive decided to get a whole new car hence why i didnt buy the engine
