Race Clutch For Mk1 Vtr

  1. #1
Well it looks like my clutch is on its way out... I fitted this one (genuine) two years ago, but after just 23k and about 40 drag runs its slipping. Im looking for people who have used uprated clutches and there opinions please?? Plus a rough cost or link to the clutches you recommend.

    Thanks

hi m8, i orded 1 off from techniclutch off the net, was supposed to be 30% uprated, works fine but dosnt feel any different than my old one, paid 75 quid for it on an ebay auction.

if u want a uprated clutch that is still good for the road then go for a Helix ceramic clutch. if you want a more race clutch that is a pain on the road but not totally unuseable then go for a helix cermetallic paddle clutch.

Stiffer peddle feel and on a standard engine that will be fine. But i wouldnt wanna sit in traffic for too long! not just cause of the stiff pedal but the wear on the plates.

With these clutches you will need to uprate you clutch arm, which is easy to do.

Thays eBay for you. I presume your cars has cam(s) due to your name so i think you should follow Sean84's advice, Helix ceramic cluth for road use to cope with everyday use but if its purely for track the other one.

Is it for everyday use or purley drag runs/track etc?
