Exhaust Choices

im just about ready to purchase my new exhaust but im not 100% what i want i can get a custom cat back for around £220, or i was thinking of a piper or maybe Peco other than this i dont know what sort of style to go for Jap slash, burnt tip, inward rolled outward rolled etc etc What looks good on with vtr bumpers? any help would be great

What are you looking for, performance or sound? If you want performance, magnex, piper and scorpion seem to be the best. Magnex do a 3" round tailpipe which looks good although it has a big backbox, whereas scorpion looks the same but has a smaller backbox which isn't too noticeable. If you go for piper, I think the 4" slash cut looks the best. If you want sound then go custom, and again I think a 3" or 4" round tip looks best but have a look through the pics on this website, might give you some more ideas.

Magnex for sound aswell mate, get a magnex center section without silencer from abpmotorsport, magnex decat and backbox sounds awesome!!

£220 wont get you a Magnex or Scorpion cat back, they usually go for £260 + p&p, infact you would struggle to get any cat back for that kind of money

Like you I am also on a budget and I have been looking around for ages, the only cat back I could get for less than £230 delivered is a Mongoose one, not many have this system but from the bits of info I have gathered they are suppose to have a raspy note and are suppose to be pretty good quality, if your intrested I could try and twist there arm on a better price for two.

Cybox, get it on ebay will blast the hell out of the sound of any magnex buddy and its just a nice pipe all the way back to your back box you can pick them up for £200 full cat back and £40 for the decat pipe

give it a try mate see what happens, i am contemplating de-catin it i got nearly a year for mot anyway, but does the cat just bolt off and bolt back on just as easy just a bit worried about MOTs as the garage i take my car to goes over with a tooth comb

Mate, just wait until you can afford a magnex. i have one on my vtr, and wouldnt have any thing else.

Hi,

Magnex have just raised their prices to us and on retail so the rear silencers
have gone up to £159.00 inc VAT now, and our Magnex/ABP centre section is
still at £125.00 inc VAT. This makes it £284.00 inc VAT doing it that way.
I can do the system which come with our centre section in stock at the
moment for £270.00 inc VAT.

Seriously mate magnex is no better quality wise to one of these systems they cant be faulted in any and everyone who has seen one and heard one who were looking for a exhaust has gone out and purchased one maybe its time to try something new as every magnex i have ever heard is about as loud as a ducks fart.

get a full peugeot sport (pugsport) manifold back decat syatem cost ya about £250 with postage and it will give you an awesome sound and max power increase

its made by scorpion too BTW

no reason it wont fit a saxo or the cut ot of the bumper either

seems to be a system saxo owners ove look its good build quality and gives good gains

i personally have the old magnex pugsport on my 106 so got the best of both worlds i guess lol

Some customers dont want a top quality system with a good name and a
warranty that they can trust. I sell lots of exhaust systems every day and
I would highly recommend Magnex. There is one on my car!

ive heard the piper's sound really good, magnex always gets good ratings- stay away from the cheap peco's, try milltek for a change?

i rang the local custom exhaust place and they can do me a cat back this week only for £199 gonna nip up tomorrow to try a few tailpipe designs by the bumper, i know there quality as me and my brother have used them a few times for exhausts, btu apparently there tailpipe range has gone down to just a few if they dont have what i want its back to the drawing board.

whats the fitting like? heard they ae too short or something
