Diesel Centre Pipe

   Might have been asked before, would a saxo diesel centre pipe fit straight on to my saxo vtr 90bhp? i know it would replace the mid silencer would it de-cat it aswel?
   anyone else done this?

   Not heard of this mod in a few years... It used to be a common mod about 5 years ago.
   
   If you get the correct pipe, the diesel section will replace the vtr centre section, have a larger bore and remove the centre box.
   
   I seem to rememebr they are quite cheap too... I think the pipe is cat-back (although diesels dont have cat... i think this is where the pipe meets). Cant rememebr 100% though

   Mine has a cat Sim, just before the manifold. are we talking about the 1.5D centre section or another psa derv?

   dont know, was just reading that some people have done it, saxo_wilson said it replaced the cat on his mk1 vtr..... might give it a go! cheap and cheerful mod

   ye i was gonna do it but i just replaced my old one in the end, if its a non cat diesel then it will fit and remove the silencer etc... decat too

   i think u need a new wire gasket for the manifold as the bore is bigger on the diesle center section mate, i had a welded up one (box out and pipe welded in) before i got me supersprint and ive just chucked it in the scrap bin mate, u could of had that one.

   saxowilson had this done to his mk2 vtr, he never had a problem with it and it was cheaper than a de-cat

    where could i get a wire gasket? just had a new centre pipe fitted and you had one lying around aswell lol

    my mate done it with his old furio, and he said he felt abit of difference, exhaust pops too

    decidin on it cos just bought new centre pipe £54 fitted, got my pants pulled down there! but thinkin of getting an ashley exhaust!

    well got one! thanks to saxo wilson cheers mate! will report my findings. was hoping to have a backbox to put on with it too though
