Undercar neons

   ok guys, i have a gold saxo and currently gettin a smooth boot made up, also its very low (down 80mm at back)
   
   i think Yellow would look pretty cool and i would only have these on during meets etc. i also found out that they are legal and the only illegal ones are blue/red/white/flashing ones
   
   i will probably be ripped to pieces for this post and be labled a chav lol(altho i hope i have some nice feedback) but i seriously think they would suit the car well and look nice at night.
   
   so guys what do you think about undercar neons?

   I like them. If the colour matches and they are not too in your face i think they can be ok, you'll bound to get a lot of people saying no though!

   Mate i like them think they would look cool, i got some blue ones just havent bothered to fit em! i also have a gold sax!

   think they look good but when you cant 'legally' drive with them on its kinda pointless.....buy a HID Xenon Headlight Conversion Kit instead with your money...about the same price

    already done that well not the HID part just new uprated bulbs

    im a big fan when you cant see the tube! my friend has them on his saxo and they are white they look soo good on a black car!!!

    i used to have some green ones on my green saxo about 3 years ago. all the tubes where hidden totally, and it was just the glow you could see.
    
    i dont have any pics unfortunately as they were on my old computer which died, but i think they looked alright. they weren't stupid bright, but gave a gentle glow.
    
    i'm not altogether sure on them now though. i guess it depends on the car that they are on, and how well they are fitted.

    not a fan of them mate but if there fitted correctly they look good, ie so you cant see the bulb

    I would say no on this one mate. Have you got a big kitted saxo? Just strapping them onto a normal car looks naff naff in my opinion. I think neons are a little fast and the furious/max power! But if you like that sort of thing then go for it! IF YOU LIKE IT . . . DO IT!

    they are legal as long as you cant see the legs !!!! its a fact but you dont need to worry if your only useing them off the road i think they look wicked if you cant see the legs/tubes hear is my red saxo with some on not very good pics but u can see what i mean

    YES as long as you cant see the leds/tubes , my mate got pulled lots of time and payed for his fines they he found out they are legel and complained he got all his fines back. its ok to hide the front and back ones its the side ones that are hard unless you got side skirts then its easy ...

    yeah footwell neons maybe - i think maybe neons should be left to japanese cars maybe. Itll be interesting to see what they looklike though.

    I have got a book on leagal and illeagal mods and it says the only underground neons that are leagal to use is a white on the front, red at the back and orange at the sides lol but who in the right mind will have that set up lol

    do your car the way you want it to look, not what other people think looks good. only thing id say with neons is sometimes looks better if you get a contrasting colour. saying that ive never seen a gold car with yellow so might looks great!

    personally I'd rather see neons on than fogs on.
    
    I actually saw a car (audi a3) with gold neons glowing as i went to tesco.
    
    didnt look totally stupid, just naff really.

    I have blue led's at the moment but are looking to go for neons, i am not sure whats better... led's are brighter but cover less area and neons cover more area but are not as bright altough neons seem to provide a nice glow and not an in your face light output..
    
    I think the cops will not do anything if your front tube is not visible, if all you see is the glow on the road there should be no problem.

    i have some blue led ones on just now.havent got the passenger side fitted though because all the fuel lines and brake pipes run down that sill so im trying to find another way of fitting them.a bodykits going on soon so its going to give me better options to hide the "bar" shapes from the neon

    Not saying they are chavvy, but the only cars i ever see with them are corsa's with lexus lights, a 25" back box and no other mods at all driving like knobs! They look ok if the rest of the car is done properly, but still not my taste, but whatever rows your boat mate!
