I just his a stone with my lower strut brace

And I can say that the stone was obliterated and only a small bit of paint came of the strut brace. I was doing around 50 mph when i hit it, and by the time id seen it i was too late and i went "ping" so i stopped and check my car. Not even a dent! Good old OMP, the stone smashed into loads of peices.

So moral of the stroy, people worried about hitting things with their lower strut brace fear not!

How low do they sit when on?

Any pics? I'm lowered 45mm and my manifold is the lowest part on the car from underneath, Been heatwrapped, but has caught the floor once or twice and scuffed the wrap.

my rear lower one on the crx beheaded a rabit once. took it clean off the driver behind said, left a bit of furry mess on the nice blue brace though.

i do want one as i'd love to see how it performs, but i'm still unsure as to whether or not the gains in handling would be worth the risk of damage to other suspension components.

    thoughts?

    What do they actually do?

Does it just hold the suspension more solidly thus increasing the rigidity when cornering (reducing bodyroll)?

cant see how it will damage the suspension unless you drive up a 25cm curb. mine cost me just over £40 and i am well happy with it
