Second hand Hatch

  1. #1
As most people have done when modding a car I made a mistake Id now like to rectifie.

I fitted a large spoiler to the hatch replacing the standard Phase2 VTS spoiler (before I had joined saxp and wasnt clear what direction I wanted the car to go in), because of its size the bodyshop used bonding agent (supplied with the spoiler to fix it to the car) and Im not sure if it will damage the glass of metal work coming off.

Does anyone have a rough idea how much a rear hatch for a saxo would cost from a breakers?

I know most people would have never had to replace a hatch unless for a accident repair but any rough price would be helpfull.

Im quite sure nobody would but IF anyone would consider a straight swop my hatch for their hatch I would gladly accept the offer. The hatch has a Citunig RS-R spoiler on it and has had the standard badges replaced for more modern items. This is the most upto date picture I have.

The Badges on the boot are as follows

    Citroen
    Sport

('Citroen' from Picasso and 'Sport' from Halfords)
On the left hand side on the right hand side

    VTS

    ('VTS' from a C2 VTS)

Stick this up in the for sale section, you will get more interest.

if you can't get anyone to swap, then take it to a bodyshop and ask them to take it off. It will lift the paint off and will therefore need going over but nothing too dramatic or costly. I have the same problem with my spoiler although mine is a touch less batman-like

Yep, I was going to have them welded up and just have the hatch dusted well before the Spoiler came along but the sprayer let me down and mucked me about so I touched up the hole and pu the badges over the top.

To be totally honest they where a quick fix which just seems to have stay'd as Ive got more imporant things to sort out :-)

Loads of people have said they really don't like em but then who cares what people think

Like I said either here or somewhere else they are abit lost on the Silver car, but on a Red or Blue car reckon they could work. On Black maybe too in your face.
