#2I dunno... Doesn't seem likely to me but surely it has to be correct for them to write it....
Also try posting in the correct section next time....
-
#3Nah i dout it very much
-
#4I personally wouldnt trust those results, but then again they surely cant just
say that can they??
Its custom so they will sound wank anyways. -
#5bullshit imo, powerflow are just for looks and sound. Its a bit like when K&N say you can get 20bhp from a 57i induction kit. Slightly false
-
#6lol yeh!!! but accordin to tht it was revs magazine tht did the test so who knows!! does any1 know what sort of exhaust tends to be best for performance??

#14Im still not quite sure why people think custom exhausts are soooooo bad?
I cant believe that Magnex have some SuperSpecial stuff in their siliencers to increase performance more than anyone else. I agree all Dyno figures should be taken with a pinch off salt but why would you not believe that a custom exhaust would or could perform as well as a Branded item?
Im only gutted because the Janspeed is so far down the list :-(
But on the up side all them people that said 'Cheap exhausts are crap, don't buy Ashley exhausts'.
Before I get over run with hate mail - it does state the test was performed by a Magazine which would have nothing to gain from one exhaust doing better than the other. -
#15Powerflow are a franchise, some good, some bad, some worse than that. For this test off the shelf systems were used, other than the powerflow, which was a custom system. I'm willing to bet that the powerflow had fuck all in the way of restriction in it and would have sounded like God farting. The other exhausts in this test are a load quieter and have more restriction, hence less power.
I'd never agree with anyone saying the Ashley is crap, in fact if I were building a track car with under 180bhp its the exhaust I'd use, just don't expect it to last that long (2 years on the road) and don't try holding a conversation in the car when you've got one of those in, but they are very light and give good power, just what you want from a race exhaust.
On the road you want a nice burble at low revs, no restiction at high revs an inestructable build and only one tail pipe (no point in more) then there's only one exhaust to get. The BTB. -

No longer availible and they were £650 new anyway by the time you'd included VAT and delivery. Worth it though. Just sold mine. Blub -
#18Totally agree campdavid! I've had 3 ashley systems, I've got the 2 1/4" one on now, all are excellent for power and noise. Even the paint on my latest one had improved from the first one I bought!

#19I remember I had a blue painted Ashley Backbox on my Saxo.
Was quiet as a mouse!
