exhaust system

   been looking around at different systems and peoples opinions, seems that magnex is preferred with scopion not far behind.
   
   just wondering what sort of systems people have? e.g. straight trough with just a back box, twin box system and actual pipework size, 2 or 2.5 inch?

   most cars run a 2inch or 2.5inch system as any bigger is waste as the pipe never fills up unless running a bhp monster, i have a custom system which is a decat pipe, straight through center section then the back box, its pretty loud but it pops and bangs i think magnex run a 2box system altho ive never like the look of the magnex backbox

   if you want performance then magnex backbox on a supersprint straight through section. work out cheaper that way too

   Yeah magnex are the popular choice, I like scorpion personally or the piper systems seem ok.

   Decided to be different, I take receipt of my Mongoose de-cat zorst on Friday but this is the best part, new it cost me £257 inc VAT & Delivery

   Im 99% sure the Mongoose is a rebadged Magnex!
   
   Ive seen identical systems for a Saxo VTR side by side and there was no
   difference at all!

   so a twin box magnex system with 2" pipe work would be a good exhaust?
   
   will hook it up with a de-cat and a 4-2-1 manifold too.

   Its abit extreme but in terms of best money can buy this is it.
   
   Personally I feel the Magnex system looks too big, what I mean is the rear siliencer or back box hangs very low and can be seen hanging below the bumper. But apart from the poor look of the system it has been proven time and time to be a good performer :-)
   
   Scorpion, Piper, Janspeed, Supersprint and Remus all list the Saxo too with roughly the same 3"-3.5" tailpipe design, some being slightly louder than others.

    there are much better exhausts out there then magnex etc

    cheers, how much it cost? is it really really loud or just when you boot it, just fitted new bloody centre pipe at shit fit should have spent extra 70 and got full ashley system

    iv got a scorpion 2.5'' backbox with magnex decat center section! sounds mint popping down the road relly gets head turning and is queit when just ticking over!!

    Your sooo rite about there being better exhaust than Magnex its just people get hooked up on Brand names 'Magnex' being one.
    
    Ashley systems are great and well priced again I think people avoid them because they are not Stainless Steel but for £150 or less you cant arguee!

    yeah seen them, you got any closer up ones frm passenger side s can get an idea of the angel? get a video up want to see how loud it is, and also the centre pipe has silencers in it doesnt it?
