change of direction. ideas and help

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

just been taking my angel eyes of my saxo, and putting the original lights back on. and been having a chat with my cousin about what direction to take the car in terms of modifying! i came up with a plan for my vts which starts with the manifold and induction kit i am about to buy!! i am seriously concidering swaping my vts rims for some black vtr rims, to gain bhp and and speed!! i want a speed demond saxo, also concidering badging it as a vtr lol. the back seats are coming out on saturday to!! and all the sub and sound system!

the car is also guna be lowered more if the vtr rims, maybe 60mm at the front and 50mm at the back!

just want a rally slag saxo lol!! just some opinions and would anyone swap black vtr rims for my standard vts rims????

    cheers for the opinions guys!!

wont see much diffrence just by swapping the rims and just taking the seats out

not sure why you want to put vtr badges on it

gmc manifold and enclosed filter is the best thing

vtr and vts rims will be about the same weight with tyres on

you gain bhp by swapping alloys?

news to me, someones told you porkies

im starting to like vtr rims over vts rims though. in black they look mint on slammed saxos, and vtr rims are more rally look, vts is a sort of show rim

also if you want a rally / track slag lowering it that much will just ruin the handling
  7. #7
not really about the gain, just more rally/race look

30mm on faulkner springs with matched dampers would be a good choice.

    i wouldnt mind 205 alloys

You won gain anything at all from having vtr rims on it mate lol, you want some lightweight speedlines as the vtr/vts rims are heavy as fook. I wouldnt personally badge it as a vtr unless it was a vtr converted.

I reckon you should go along with brianS's advice, save up and get some speedline's and drop it 30mm onto these and it'll still look sweet as, coz aswell as the handling getting shitter the lower you go, IMO some cars also look daft once you drop it lower than a certain height

    Just thought i'd say

i was just thinking of keeping it simple though!!! like no expensive rims! i love speedlines but 600 is a lot of cash. compomotives are smart rims!! my mate had them on a valver nova
