painting?

   hey everyone just a small query on painting. I've bought a can of spray paint to match the colour of my saxo along with a can of primer and laquer for doing my bonnet grill (mk2). I've rubbed everything down smooth with good wet and dry and applied a first coat of primer but just wondered how many coats of each is probably recommended, and should I use wet and dry ater each coat?

   use 3 coats of primer, 3 of main/color coat and 3/4 of laquer. if you rub down between coats it will give a smoother finish but if you dont it will still look good as its only the grill which is small but on bigger areas such as a flat pannel you would see an orrange peel effect in certial light at angles if u dont rub it down between coats
