hey i have heard that the 106 s1 rallye inlet was better than a standard vtr inlet is this true ? and how hard are they to fit onto a saxo vtr ?
rallye inlet

#1
-
#2i have heard the same mate bump bump!!!
-
#3i heard they were better bcoz they are made out of alloy so u can bore them out but ive bin lookin 4 a few weeks and cant find 1.
-
#4well ive got 1 in the pipe line so just need 2 kno if they need fiddling with too fit altho it shud b ok bcoz they're technically the same engine right? cheers for any help jay
-
#5Is it worth uprating you standard VTR inlet for the s1 rally inlet?
-
#6the s1 rallye inletwill only fit the 90bhp head due to the inlet port spcings being changedon te 98bhp vtr engine
they should give a good throttle response and a good bhp increse due to the increased size of the chamber
on a s2 rallye though they require a remap to get them to run correct
but its hit and miss somtimes they go on and run perfectly dine other cars wont idle correct and require a remap
you will be looking at aroun £100+ to buy one though -
#7Are they hard to get hold of?
-
#8not if ya looking in the right places no
rallye registar is best place too look mate -
#9im gettin mine of my m8 for 50 squid with everything on thought it was a good deal ! wat u all recon ?
-
#10sounds like a bargain
id still head over to the rallye reg to read the fitting guid on there will hopfully save a lot of haeel for ya getting it fitted right -
#11you will need a longer throttle cable, one from a DIEsel will fit
-
#12YOU WILL NEED A REMAP FULL STOP, if you cant afford the 500 for that, bang the inlet on ebay to someone who'll pay more and can afford a remap.
i just tried it on my s2, its a cunt to do -
#13ive heard it will run but will idle funny also will probs need 2 drill and tap for a sensor i think ! cheers jay
-
#14Do it jay. i sold mine for 120 to pay my insurance. you can get them running but its a bit fiddlly.
and you dont need a remap. but it will run better with one.
i was gona get wolz to fit mine till i sold it.
