    Hi

Im wantin to retrim my parcel shelf, and have bought some false red leather to do it in.. but ive noticed the saxo parcel shelves have those stupid divides in the middle, essentially created almost like 3 individual shelving areas.

The problem is when i trim it im going to have a springy/bouncey area over each of the 3 lower area's which is guna b a kunt i think! Wanted it nice hard, smooth n tight u kno..

So has anyone trimmed their parcel shelf in a similar way to how im talking, and if so what did you do to get around therse stupid lower indented area's? Did you pad them out mayb? what with if u did? Idea's please! (Rep for good answers of course)

i've got a dark grey retrimmed shelf and its completely flat i just brought some ply wood and cut it to the same shape and added metal rods at each end to put in the bits where it hinges up from, easy really..

Cant you use some fine red stich or something to go around the indent helping holding it down and giving it shape?

Or just pad it out with some sponge or ply wood?

Black leather would look nice imo, especially on a black car with gti interior

i trimmed my boxes for my sintall, actually did all of it, with the parcel shelf being how it is the leather will have to stretch a lot, i did the bocxes and couldnt help some creases in it but it still looks great and looks natural if you catch my drift

I retrimmed mine in black felt from Edworthys but theyve gone inti liquidation now. I needed to do mine as its made of MDF, the standard one cant go in properly because of the sub box
