what will this do to the performance?
de cat?

#1

#2the cat restricts the air flow of the exhaust fumes so de-catting it means that the cat is no longer there so the is ALOT less restriction.
depending what other mods you have you will see a gain of 4-8bhp -
#3well i have a raceland ram induction kit and a cat back scorpion system
-
#4youll feel this difference like. i had a raceland filter and cat back... soon as i got it de-catted it went through the revs easier and just seemed faster lol
plus.... make your exhaust sound sweet
-
#5yh i think im on the case lol cheers
-
#6dont forget the mot issues with this though
-
#7great mod mate you will certainly feel the difference just remember to to swap back for mot lol
-
#8it has been put on hold, i looked at my downpipes and the cat is on the manifold at the top, so ill need a 4-1 branch manifold
-
#9it is illegal to de-cat a vehicle registered after 1993 as it will fail its MOT emissions - translation 'do it, enjoy it and change it back for the MOT!'
my work here is done! -
#10i've had decat on both my cars..
and its made a big differance to both
-
#11Cat acts like another siliencer, and it basically restricks gase flow in the exhaust. Remove it and replace it with a decat and gas flow will be increased.
Don forget though your need it back in for MoT time.
