lowering problems

    ive got a couple of questions

    1. how much have you lowered your cars by?

    2. What have u lowered it on? example springs and What make?

    3. have you had any problems? ( i read somewhere that the pas pipe can rub)

    Answers to your questions:

    1. 40mm all round

    2. Full spax PSX kit

    3. No problems when got the kit fitted they tied the pump that can catch (not sure which pump it is) back.

    lowered mine bout 110mm on the back, and around 90mm on the front. some say its crazy but its all down 2 personal preference! mine did start rubbin the PAS pipe, but just lever it out the way as suggested in the how to section.

    40 down wont rub mate and the psx is a good kit, i got the rear, the fronts coming soon

    I didn't think that was possible!!! one guy on ebay is stating his car is dropped 120mm!!!

    tried to do mine today couldnt even get teh bolts that hold the dampers on undone were stuck solid, drowned them in wd40 and al have a go someother time

    No problems atall. Dont have PAS

    1 50mm all around

    2 just springs puma cheapo springs

    3 pas steering pipe went

    it only goes on mk2s lowered 40mm or more

    all you do is just bend the pipe out of the way

    lowered 25/30mm

    just bought some koni 35mm springs, not heard anyone else mention them to date

    on my show car, spax psx kit down 40mm all round, they have only done 3000 miles but been on car for 2 years and the two rear dampers have failed so i am sending them back to spax as sson as i put standard rears back on.

    I have bilsteins on my supercharged vtr and i would get them if ya can with a 35mm drop.

    thanks all for posting i may just go for springs (skint at the mo) what are good ones to go for been looking at spax because then i could upgrade later on

    spax are sound mate, good if your gonna upgrade to spax shocks aswell, makes sense

    Just had mine lowered 35mm

    Koni springs, roughly 35mm at back

    handbrake cable was rubbing like crazy at back
