Right as its now the only thing that i need to do i want to get it right. At the mo my set-up is just springs think there 60mm but picture below shows how low it is.

Gunna get a full set-up. I think it handles well now so anything better is bonus!

Which shocks an springs should i got for? I want it to be same ride height tho as i like it. I no some people will say its too low but i like it.

So come on peeps wats your thoughts??????

    ax group N dampers.

could use the crappy gmc 50mm springs if you like it gay low...

dont think faulkner do 60mm shit

failing that youd have to go coilovers.

Its not gay!!! anal!!! I like it mate well been looking at spax? heard about the billies think the 50mm will be this lower??
  4. #4
the 50mm springs dont seem to be to popular, fmp had em on his car, and most think he would have been faster with harder springs
  5. #5
off topic i know but i just love tose gti 6 wheels in that colour!!

Yeah I heard the 50mm GMC are too soft.

If you have the money go for coilovers. But you could get Spax 60mm Springs and GMC Billie dampers.

I say GMC billies with a 40mm drop, but Coilovers on the front and billies on the back would be good I guess.

unless you need the height adjustment I'd steer clear of coilovers. You trade component quality for the adjustable spring platform and thats not a worthwhile trade off IMO. Test a quality non adjustable like the billies back to back with say.. Pi Coilovers and you'll see the difference.

    Forget Coilovers.
Get some Bilstein Sprintlines mate, the springs you get with them are okay..
If your not keen on the springs that are packaged with them then you can
opt for some custom poundage ones (Camp will probably guide u through that)

Or just opt for some GMC 40mm ones, they seem pretty decent (oh or 50mm)

Uprating the bushes is always a good think, lower strut brace too.
If your feeling a bit cheeky you could even get a set of 21mm torsions?

Loads to do mate just depends on cashflow.

Oh btw going to ring that Carbon guy now lol.

cant use a lower strut with it lowered 60mm

    get billies

what budget do you have tho?

ive heard gmc 50mm springs are soft and people have bottomed out so to speak

if you can afford it id go with the blistien set up from gmc 440 inc vat and delivery, sell the gmc springs, get uprated bushes all around (85 from ebay) then sort springs, wouldnt know about 60mm springs wouldnt reccomend being that low, most people know how much i hate it!

sprintlines are not great in comparrsion to the groupN shortened dampers.
also would probably be to soft to match with a set of 21mm bars.
they would probably need to be revalved to suit the stiffness of the bars etc..

coilovers can be good if you get proper pugsport items, not just cheap shitty PI stuff.

    bilstien coilovers it is then
  12. #12
Right well lots to consider now then. But i thing people are wrong in some of the stuff said

A lower strut brace cant be fitted when 60mm wrong as i have one on already.

All my bushes are uprated ones already just need to sort springs an shocks thats all now
  13. #13
so your not wanting to change torsion bars, arb? if you get group ns you could always add a torsion bar upgrade after as there uprated enough to handle one.
  14. #14
Well no not really mate just springs an shocks at mo as its not really a track car.
  15. #15
go with group n dampners like ryans said and find out what springs faulkner can do as to stiffness and ride height. im sure faglex will sort you out on that. otherwise billie, pugsort coilovers but your talking a lot of wedge
