How would it Weight without . . .

By the book if a Saxo VTS weights in at: 935kg

What would it weight with bits of interior removed such as rear seats, parcel shelf, boot lining and other rear interior parts?

Plus is there anyway of weighing a car? I think somepeople have done it on the scales at the enterance to a rubbish tip but you have to know the people as its a bit of a strange request

20kgs or there abouts - those parts aren't all that heavy really

So in your professional opium, would removing rear seats, parcel shelf, supports and rear quater/door cards improve a cars 0-60mph performance and pick-up?

it would but the difference may be negligiable.

    It all adds up though.

You may find that a set of sticky front tyres would get the times down further.

Yep I totally understand for summer Im looking to switch to Rallye Steelies which should be lighter than my S rims so I reckon that'll help.

And I'll push the boat out for pukka (pies) tyres (at least for the front) when I get em. Thanks KamRacing

the carpet weighs about as much as those items

Get it all out mate, carpet, sound proofing, all the plastic trim.

Things like the electric mirrors on a vts weigh a reasonable amount too so you can save a couple of pounds by swapping those for something lighter.

Exhaust, wheels, brake callipers all make a big difference as well.
