Sports Cat

I am building my own exhaust at the moment for my supercharged vtr but i am thinking about using a sports cat.

Can anyone give me advice on which ones they have used.

cituning one is the only one i can think of which is available for the saxo but at £300+ i'd rather buy a 4-1 manifold for around £200 and just refit the cat come mot time to be honest.

already got the 4-1 on but mine had the cat in the manifold so dont have a standard cat to use, i aint spending £300 on a sports cat would rather struggle and put the standard one back on!! will go to the scrappy and have a look for a standard one.

Never used one myself but Janspeed make them:

Been thinking about getting one myself but as said above, it's probably cheaper just getting the manifold and having a decat.

get a mk1 exhaust system and you can put the cat under the car in the center section and not have to worry about fannying about changing the manifold every mot time

as i have a side exit exhaust i cant fit a standard exhaust on my car as it is a hidden side exit so it means when am making my new exhaust i shall put a decat pipe in for most of the year and a cat off a mk1 to fit in come mot time. thanks Sean just came to me when you mentioned cat and centre section

Sports cats are far too expensive, I would just decat it and replace it come Mot time.

Ive got a Janspeed Sports Cat (cost me fortune) but Id rather have had a cat (preffabley a uprated item ie sports) than keep messing about every year swappin the decat for the cat just for a hour for mot then swappin it over again.

Janspeed do them, Cituning too, Demon Tweeks offer a item made by BM have a look on www.demon-tweeks.co.uk and see how much they come in at, as if your making your own exhaust then it doesnt matter where you put it.
