im new to a saxo i got a vtr with 16s on it can i lower 50mm with just springs

Yes! you can lower the car as much as you want but expect to be doing some arch work!! your not very specific with what your asking, and you havent mentioned what profile tyre you have on!
also you can only lower the front of the car with the springs the rear is on a torsion bar. I would advise you but a full suspension kit, which includes uprated dampers for the front and rear and springs for the front!

You can by all means mate, but unless you have 40 profile tyres it will rub.

chances are your gonna get some scrubbing mate, may need to do a bit of arch work before they'll fit snug under the arches without any rubbing!

Personally I wouldnt go that low on standard shocks, Id save my money untill I could afford a complete suspension package.

im going 50mm with 40 profile on a suspension kit soon mate, ill let you know how it goes.
