grrrrrrrr its never straight forward

so i went to ABP to get the car lowered turns out the bearing on my rear side is going so there wouldnt be much point lowering the back until i get that sorted so the front is on 50mm but the bacj is normal

so here is the thing ABP reckon while changing the bearing they mechanic can also lower the torsion bar?

also can any good mechanic lower the bar e.g its common knowledge how to so it or am best asking first?

ABP where great but i cant get back to them becasue they are to far away and they cant get me in on weekends so im hoping depending on the answers to my questions that my local garage will do it all

i would say no, a torsion bar is easy if you know how to do it and providing nothing is siezed. But if your not clued up on how to do it, then its a bastid even with instructions, but thats just my opinion!

my bearing is going aswell on the front left it drives proper shit the steering is like wayyyy looose.. the bloke said its the worse bearing he has ever seen LOL gunn aget it fixed on mon..

Hi Lee,

Sorry to hear about the outcome on Saturday with the suspension! This is
common so dont worry as its not just your car. The reason we said that it is
best to sort the beam bearings at the same time, is because when we remove
the swing arm, we have to remove the torsion bars that control the rear
height. So if we alter the rears height now then replace the beam bearings,
its more or less a similar job and you will get charged twice for the same thing.
