Induction kits!

   Hey all! I have been looking for a different induction kit for my car! At the moment i have a Piperx foam filter! I dont fancy spending like £200 on a BMC! Is there any other filter i can buy that does the same as a BMC? I notice that somepeople say they buy a simota induction kit and put a green filter in it? Am i correct?

   I have a simota twister, places the filter by the headlight, tho i'm slowly changing the std parts for better looking ones.
   
   You could always go custom.

   I got mine from eBay, None on there atm tho.

   as good as getting a raceland and replacing the internal filter.

   Follow KamRacings link to their website and have a look on there.
   
   If you decide to have a enclosed filter rather than a Scoop then there are loads of universal BMC style filters on eBay which as long as you get the pipe diameter rite you should be ok - I think they start about £50
   
   I know alot of people dont agree with buying unbranded filters but for the money Im not so sure Id be so fussy, even if you dont buy one its worth a look. Try universal Enclosed filter in the search bar on eBay

   I have just had a look on kamracings website and it only has a raceland filter for a VTS!

   they fit any car mate, just says VTS on the funnel

    I agree mate, puts me off getting one a bit. Would it be possible to rub the VTS logo down with wet and dry etc and then spary the scoop to match the car or black??

    I take it your looking for a enclosed filter, ant preferance either scoop or toatlly enclosed BMC Style?
    
    Raceland do a cheaper version of the Green Scoop and KamRacing can do ya a RaceLand item with a Geen filter inside. If its toatlly enclosed then there are quite afew BMC style filters on the market aside from BMC, keep your eyes peeled on ebay also I'll post a link in the morning for dp mortorsport who do some nice different induction kits.

    not without modifications they don't. i found that out fisrt hand, you need to re-locate the Power Steering fluid bottle, and you will also need to buy something for the oil breather as the breather doesn't reasch the induction kit

    Its just a case of moving the power steerin bottle over a few inchs to the right out of the way thou isnt it?

    as well as the fact that it doesn't sit flush to the slam panel on the VTR and the oil breather pipe doesn't reach yeah!

    well my green one needed a few mods to it too, i was expecting a straight fit
