is this on a N/a engine. If so you won't see any gains.
They are just stronger than normal pistons which allows you to do other things.

You would need high comp, rebated pistons with T/ bodies and wild cams.

As above really Matt, make sure you get high compression ones which are also rebated so the valves don't hit the pistons. You will see slight gains as the compression is raised, as for remap just get eveything at once then have it mapped altogether.oh and gmc sell them.
There not some difference between high comp pistons & low comp depinging whether your going Boosted or NA?

Yes, boosted low comp, N/A high comp

A higher compression brings more air in too.
I think its definately worth it if you are serious about tuning it N/A. The motor would rev better combined with High Comps, Forged Rods, Balanced Crank and Blue Printed bottom end. It would be bullet proof too.
Naturally horsepower will be increased.
The difference in Low comps and High comps is the piston skirt. Low comps skirts are shorter and visa virca. Low comps for boosted motors and high for N/A.
I think the big valve head, standalone and whatever your choice of cams Matt is a better bang for you buck.

No need for these unless you are planning big cams and throttle bodies

Cheers Dave! Its very good! Thanks again.
I agree with you there too. Its very expensive aswell.
The super 1600s no doubt use them because they need all the help they can get to rev to 9.5k rpm!!!
No power below that mind.....
