1.1 Lowering

   Hi all! Im new to the site and haven't been driving long. I need a bit of advice. I have an 02 plate 1.1 saxo desire and i have 15" rims on it. When i get 4 people in the car it rubs like mad and they are only 15's! I want to get it lowered but ive got no chance with the rubbing. Could i solve this just by simply putting wider spacers on? And if so how low shall i get it lowered, i just want the wheel to sit nicely in the arch and not look like a tractor lol!

   You have to cut the little metal lip out from the inside of the read arches mate. Or get them rolled professionally. Spacers won't do anything as the arches are too narrow.
   
   A lad on here, connor has his 1.1 lowered 80mm at the back, so any ammount is possible really mate. Depends what you want, looks or handling, and what kit you intend on using.

   Hi and welcome mate
   I have a saxo 1.1 lowered 80mm rear and 60mm front on 15s and it dont rub as bit with a full car
   
   You will need to get your arches rolled up or if your handy with an angle grinder grind them out. It only took me about 15mins grinding them away just tidying them up so there aint any sharp bits takes a bit
   
   Putting spacers on will make it rub more mate. i had to use 3mm spacers on teh back so my wheels didnt rub the inside on the supsension

   Im not sure what kit to buy as i dont know what ones are best for price and quality.
   
   I'd be useless grinding them out myself as i wouldnt know which bit to grind or whether it was right what i was doing lol. How much do you reckon it would cost for me to get it done by a pro?

   to get them rolled shouldnt cost to much mate., i wouldnt know exactly as i did mine myself
   
   You wont need to touch the front lips at all as it wont rub
   
   i went for Gmax as they are quite cheap( £46 for front springs)
   
   But remeber that your saxo is torsion bar on the back and you will need to get that done by someone.
   If you as on here someone will be able to help you find someone to sort that out for you mate
