Door pin removal

    hi, i want to remove my door pins, as i got my car broken into bt i still want 2 be able to lock the doors frm the inside whilst drivin etc.

    any ideas how to do this are welcome.

    Central locking should do it on your keyfob. just do a search and you'll get an answer also look at my thread that i started about plugging the holes up for a bit more help on finishing it.

    if you have remote central locking use the remote

    if not i dont think you can

    i was thinking of wiring a button up on the dash to lock the doors, shouldnt be too difficult, but i think it would mean running a few wires to each motor

    wont the central locking fob activate the alarm tho and u will be driving?

    no i got two separate fobs, standard one and an extra one for the alarm.

    ahh right mines built into the key and when i press it it locks the car and activates the allarm/immobiliser

    well i removed my doorpins and i have a cat1 alarm on my standard fob, it will only arm the alarm with the engine off, its ok once the cars running

    so if you start your engine and then actvate your alarm it wont arm only operate the central locking ??

    yeah mine does im speshal lol

    nah should be ok mate, as it has disabled the immobiliser

    standard key fob will only activate the doors when driving not the alarm/immobiliser as long as the car has already been started.

    so if you have a cat 1 alarm it will still work how i want it to ?

    yeah as long as your engine is started, it means you can just lock the doors without arming the alarm as scott said

    it should when the car has been started the immobiliser should have already been deactivated.
    Worked with my toad cat 1 and my friends clifford cat 1

    my fob closes and locks the doors when im in it and its started
