Hey everyone! I have a Piperx foam filter on my VTR and as many of you know, they do suck in the hot air from the engine! If i was to do a little DIY and get some aluminium piping to make the filter closer to the front of the car, would this help stop sucking the hot air? Also where can i buy the piping from?
Pipes?

#6Does anybody know what the bore of the pipercross filter is? So then i know what size piping i will need.

#7take it off and measure it
id maybe get some silicone to join the 2 pipes -
#8Get some carbon sheet off ebay aswell, make a heat shield for it

#9I have just found some alloy tubes on the demon tweeks website for my induction kit. It asks me what diameter pipe i need, when i go and measure the filter pipe will i need a pipe bigger than the air filters diameter so it goes over the air filter pipe or would i need the pipe smaller than the air filter pipe so it goes inside the filter? If that makes sense
