Dastek Unichip

    hey guys,

    Just bought a unichip off ebay for my saxo vts, got it cheap, its cum off a saxo vtr.... shud this still be reprogrammable for my car? the guy i bought it off said so....

    yes fully programmable/remappable

    You mind if I ask which one you bought (make/model) as I am weighing up whether or not I should get a ECU remap or dasktek?

    Most places charge around £400 for remapping the original ECU so for fitting and mapping your unichip, i would guess it would be more as theres the fitting costs too.

    You dont need a remap for just breathing mods, you only need one if you have cams/TB's or you are charing your engine

    I've ordered a Newman cam and looking into a vernier pulley as we speak, if all the info I have read is correct a remap is now required to take benefit of all the mods I have done (see sig). Spoke to Ric woods (nice guy), he mentioned he has no problem fitting a second hand dasktek unichip providing it worked & was the correct version (B) for £250 (fitting & live remap on RR), come on OP get yourself down to Ricwoods and get it mapped and report back on what result you get.
