    Iwas having a nosey around my engine the other day, could sum1 tell me what this wire coming out of the manifold cover does? As Iv not seen it on any other saxo engine

    in short it measures your exhaust for emmisions to check that your fueling etc is correct

    yes. You'll find that you have a very ill car without it.

    as a rule all sensors are good. Don't fuck with them. Also be careful around any cabling. Getting a snag in a cable can cause running problems and they are a bastard to fault find. and don't get me started on earth leads......
