Trying to get some 16" Oz Superturismo's desperately but not many places stock them for some reason, ones that can order them want a deposit and I'm not keen on doing that then waiting 5 months for them to come up trumps. Halfords stock them but only with 195/45 tyres. Has anyone ever ran with these sized tyres on a car lowered more than 30mm successfully without problems????

had a few people say saxos can't run on them and one guy said he ran without probs lowered 50mm, I'm 35mm at front roughly same at back. I'll go 40 on profile if I have to do arch work, just have to be patient finding a company who can supply them without postage or deposit worries.

some good prices on the site, tempted by the 7x17" offer but best off playing it safe with 16's

40 profile will look better, geneally you would have rubbing down that much

Its bloody typical that all the wheel/tyre offers are 195/45 - is there a jack in the vtr somewhere? as it looks like I'm fitting the alloys myself and the adjustable jack I usually use is bust.

scissor jack is in the spare wheel.

ask the places you see the adverts if they do 40 profile? most places can get the wheels with different tyres.

    you tried gsmotorsport?

not yet bud, looking for a place 60 miles from Leeds where I can get the lot and possibly fitted as last time I fitted alloys the car fell and the disk cut into the inner alloy!

i ran my vtr on 195/45 16s on the bump stops at the rear and 50mm at the front and it didnt rub even 5 people up with luggage. With 16s you dont really have to worry much with whats in the way just cut it off
