alrite lads and ladys, just wondering wat your 0-60 times are?and wat mods you got?

my cousin got 8 secs in his saxo

. took spare wheel out and subs. btb exhaust,bmc enclosed induction kit,gmc mainfold, dastek remap.

and i got 12 ish in my corsa!

the cars fcuked used to get alot better.

Well i got a K&N induction kit, with fabricated stainless stell cold air feed, and in my 2000 vts i can push out 60mph in just a lick under 7secs

Top speed is 143mph other than the induction kit no engine mods

thats standard figure said by citeroen. have you timed your self? because im not bullshittin but corsa 1.2 16v have qutoed 13.5 secs i've got mine down to 11.2 with mate timing and it's standard.
anyone else timed them selfs in vtr?

Ave got VTR 03plate, pipercross induction kit wiv gud air feed and lowered with twin exit exaust

top end - 130mph up 2 now
0-60 a a touch over 8seconds!

there is noway a saxo could be tha quick wether its a vtr or vts. i mean ive raced loads ov other vtr's and vts's and beaten them all except the couple vts's which av been tuned. i mean my vtr is fookin quick for wot it is ive hit 130 in it so far an my motor woz absolutly screamin to death didnt wanna giv it more. but wot tha guy is saying is a load of crap.
i can only get under 7 seconds out of the old mans mr2 an thas pushin 200bhp so no way a saxo could im sorry!

I got a vtr on a 51 plate n had 135 out of it. No reason why a vts can do 143? My mates got a puma with a 1.6 16v zetec lump n that is quick! That pulls 140 no probs n vts is faster, lot faster!

I got my vts new in 2000 and raced an mr2 on the m1, the tosser started it all by sticking his car an inch behind mine and flashed his lights for me to get out the way, i let him go then chased him. I think he was shocked when i went passed him at 135mph.

lad i know has got an mr2 turbo, its got that many gadgets on it like fuel cut off's and limiters so you dont fuck the turbo etc i kick his ass! i mean we never duelled it out in a straight line but i'd imagine he's win but if there's more than a sniff of a round a bout then i kick its ass!!

there is no fookin way tha mr2 was trying then mate. i raced a civic type r in my old mans mr2 u know the new type r's an i fookin woomped him big time. if you got a gud driver behind da wheel of an mr2 u wnt catch it wether ur on a straight or in a bend coz they grip like fuk. an as for the turbo mr2 version ur living in a dream world if u tink u can take them. if u wind up the actuator so the car boosts way above normal ur lookin at a 0-60 time of around 4.5 seconds tell me how a 1.6 16v saxo pushing around 130bhp can compete wiv tha. i aint sayin im gud driver. but ive bin in the car wiv the old man an considering the way the weight is distributed when cornerin due to everythin bein in the back the car is twitchey an they do catch people out, but the old man throws it about like a fookin toy an he gets that thing absolutly flyin.

its a vtr i got so we're talking 8valve n about 98bhp. The point i was tryin to make is the vtr is a lot easier car to drive on't limit cos you can just floor it and then all you have to worry about is hitting something. As the mr2's rear wheel drive its gonna be a hell of a lot harder to drive on the limit.

ur fuckin rite mate! put it this way the old man plays wiv it like a toy, but me holy shit ive almost bin caught out in it a few times an they are very scary drivin at the limit but they are real quick! the arse end started cumin out at ove 85mph on me the one day when i was cuming of this sweeping bend, being a power hungry stupid c**t i let my foot do the talking and put the shitters up myself. but after adrenaline was pumping so i was encouraged to drive a little harder to get sum sideways action yea baby! but i can see what ya saying. if you had a saxo wiv da same bhp i av no doubt it would beat the mr2 due to bein a much easier car to handle. all im saying is that wiv the mods the guys were saying, they livin in a fantasy land coz the cars jus aint got enough power or guts.

my mate owns an mr2 turbo rev 2, currently running around 210-220bhp, and, last night at the jap meet at ace cafe some guys he knows through imoc asked me where my car was, I coyley replyed "at home mate", then they asked "what is it" I replyed "it's french you don't want to know", I could see the teasing coming, but told them the spec of my vtr powered ax pushing arround 130bhp.

And in the midst of the piss taking my mate piped up and seid "don't knock it, I struggle like fuck to keep up."

Now, considering my ax is weying in at arroud 800kg all told with it's sterio and a-like, it's not un-reasonable for a lightened vt model to have similar results against a standard mr2, is it?

My VTS has been played with a little, now hitting 60 in a lick under 6 seconds.

And for the record, the max speed of a VTS is 141MPH; theory and proven.

i have a vts engine in a 1.1 with all the back ripped out an induction kit and full ss zorst with jap can.thats bout it and 2sup in the car i can nip it out just over,,,well between 6-6.4 was pretty consistant not sure how accurate it is witht the engine swap and all but i replaced the dials and everything so should be all right,one thing for sure though its foookin fast man,i can get bout 151mph out at tops but thats ont he 1.4 g-box

To be fair, the saxo is just a little hot hatch as standard, yeah you can go around spending shit loads of money, turbo charging them and shit, but a standard saxo is never gonno beat anything built for speed, e.g. type R, porsche boxters, MR2 turbos. It just is not going to happen.If you won the lottery tommorow the first car your gonna buy wont be a turbocharged VTS, There are a lot faster things out there then saxos, open your eyes saxo clubs are great but, i ain't gonna say for a minute that i want to own a saxo for my whole life. if you like motor cars, you like them all not just saxos. Give credit to others.

thanks for that mate, your the only one that seems to understand the capability of a vts, i'm sure simo will too.

The car has got a closed air induction kit, stainless steel cold air feed to and from the filter, lowered aswell, which i didn't mention.

A VTS is capable of doing 140mph, trust me.

The mr2 on the M1, i beat one of them too, proably not a turbo, but it was white nad also on the M1, passed him once my vts was touching 130 mph.

I'm sure there's guys out there that will agree with me and scott.

0-60, top speed, and wether you beat your mates dads BMW with 440bhp which weighs as much as a house! means shit in a real race ie on a track or proper country roads!! its all about braking cornering, and mainly driver input!! also BHP means nothing, its power to weight raitos! as well as mid range grunt!

Damn right! And to be perfectly honest a turbo'd saxo wouldn't be the 1st car i bought with lottery money. But i would do it! Just to have something unique and more than capable of pissing on more expensive machinery! Thats the whole point of modifying, to create something unique, not run of the mill. Wheres the fun in walking into a showroom and buying a £30-40 grand car the same as all the others (ok, it would be quite good fun!), when you could create a car like simo's which would seriously piss off alot of people! Anyway thats my opinion!
