bhp 90bhp vtr

  1. #1
right morning peeps i would like a rough estamate on bhp on a 90bhp mk1 vtr(blacktop)

    full magnex system
    magnex de-cat
    raceland manifold
    itg induction kit
    port and polished head
    fast road cam
  2. #2
Its its mapped nicely than 120bhp is the norm for cammed VTRs
  3. #3
full system, inc manifold and filter may give you up to 10bhp?
+ whatever cam will give you 15bhp if mapped...
  4. #4
My old 1998 vtr had magnex stainless ststem, decat and K&N and gave 108bhp! 20% increase over standard. All engines will react differently to different mods so it's difficult to say. I would guess, properly set up you should see 120+ bhp from those mods
  5. #5
would of been cheaper just to buy a vts imho

    but insurances purposes etc ...
  6. #6
    think alex got 120-130

didnt think yours had a cam or headwork
  7. #7
Yeah round about 120 plus I would say.
  8. #8
york your cars 70bhp its lost power
  9. #9
Reckon with them mods and its running spot on then 130-135bhp with the port and polished head.
  10. #10
hessle need i new head mate i got one with the port and polish and cams mate £150
  11. #11
ive got full system magnex, fast road cam, decat, 4-2-1, not mapped and mine pulled 115.52 so with port n pollished head and map shud b considerably higher but like saxo180 said all engines will b different
  12. #12
Just out of interest how much did these mods set you back because im interested in doing some perfomance mods in the near future.
  13. #13
    not muz hmmm

magnex full system (bought on car)
    magnex de-cat£60 (new)
    itg filter £40+ £10 pipe(secondhand)
    manifold 4-2-1 raceland £60(secondhand)
head with port and polished head with cams £150(secondhand)

    £320 i payed

ps magnex full systems usually £250-£300 so.....

    £580 to £630 all in

not all new bits you wont

and you wouldnt get a remap either
  20. #20
Could you give me a realistic cost of all new bits and fitting etc?
  21. #21
i have gmc manifold pioper exhaust system and BMC filter all new and cost me about £700 i fitted all myself

id say at least a couple of hours fiiting from a garage so say £100

    cam is about £200ish

head to be port and polished propley id say £100+

    re map about £400 plus

then theres fitting of head and cam id say about £200 odd there maybe

so roughly about £1700 with all new bits and fiiting

you could save a fair wack of that by fiiting yourself
  22. #22
Kl cheers, that gives me a more realistic idea, Il start puttin a bit aside every month til ive got enough
  23. #23
personally for that kind of money id maybe get a vts conversion

as it will be more bhp per £
  24. #24
save 1500 and buy my vts off me
  25. #25
£200 for your vts??? Yeh ive thought about a vts conversion, would probably be a better idea, we'll see how much i can save first lol
  26. #26
re-maps are £200 at camrons york (and no not chips defo re-maps)
  27. #27
    probs about 25-30 bhp
