not sure but i think they are the same size, if your wanting better brakes my advise would be to get some 206 gti brakes if your wheels are 14" and if they are 15" some gti6/xsara vts/206 gti 180 brakes
they are bigger brakes and improve braking alot more
im not sure on the vented and drilled discs, i dont think they make that much difference from the standard ones, they are still the same size afterall

Lmao! I was told that upgrading u're disc's to bigger ones u'll need new calipers and master cylinder due to pressure??

no no no
if you upgrade the whole system you need new calipers, williams does sets of 206 gti brakes, not sure how much but for the cost they are a bargain, think its about 150 or maybe a bit more, you will have to speak to him
but just gettin groved discs isnt expensive you dont need to change anything else with them, well just the pads, but you just get the same size disc no need to change calipers

Ok then cool... So drilled and grooved vented disc's should sit straight in? My m8's got a VTR and has jus got a set of uprated ^^. Guna buy some off ebay i rekon, seen some EBC gold ones for £50
Thanks buddy

if you get bigger discs then yes you need bigger calipers, but like i said, depending on wheel size go for the ones i suggested above, but if you just want uprated discs, and not bigger discs get some drilled or grooved, but like i also said above im not sure they are much better than standard due to them being the same size

Its not the discs that make a difference to performance. Its the Brake pads. If your on a tight budget, just get some uprated pads.

To improve braking performance increase the size of the disks

Its the pad material that makes the difference.

no it isn't, all different pad materials do is determine the temp they begin to fade at. braking pressure is determined by size of disc, caliper and master cylinder.

and the friction constant of the pad material

In terms of disc size, you can always bring out the old playground roundabout adage.
Think of a roundabout in a playground and imagine trying to stop it.
Obviously it is easier to do, the further from the centre you go.
Thus, bigger discs and spaced out calipers will aid stopping.
