   iv still got mu universal back box, had to take it off for the last MOT as the centre pipe rotted and caused the dreaded emissions failure, much would i be looking at to have it welded back on to my centre pipe, Its gona have to be one of these jobs where they extend the pipe, i would buy a new direct fit backbox to save this hassle, but everyone always asks where the old exhaust is because it sounded excellent....info plz cheers

   Custom exhaust shop I used charged a standard flat rate of £50 to remove my centre box and replace that section with stainless steel.
   
   Probally lookin abou that kinda money - it could be easier to buy a new straight through centre pipe as I think you can get one under £50 and a boxless centre section regardless of make or brand shouldnt effect the exhaust note as its just a straight pipe
