forced air or normal induction kit

   I assume you mean an enclosed induction kit when you say forced air.
   Enclosed ones are better for performance. Normal (or open) induction kits are just for sound

   To be honest - forced air is a misnomer. It's not a forced air kit. It's simply enclosed.
   
   I would reccomend either the green or the BMC as I had both on my car,although the green can be somewhat brittle. That was my justification for getting the BMC, my green cracked to bits

   Green sounds alot better yes, but as has been said they have a habbit of cracking!

   well they come with blue silicone so that stops it cracking as the induction moves with the engine vibrations, also im onna have to put a piee of foam on the slam panel to prevent this the screws arent exatly tigtened up that much so i dont think mine will crack

   some people cable ties to allow a small amount of movement in the air scoop

   My infamous gf popped a replacement k&n into our sax, I was really disapointed with the sound, not even Dick Parry could have got a clean note out of it.
   
   But seriously I expected some induction noise during the higher revs. Not bad for £30 odd quid though.
   
   got a panel k&n filter in good nick for a 2000 VTR onwards if anyone wants it? £5!

    good filters aren't they.. trap the dirt well.
    
    Would recommend cleaning before they get into that state though to keep that leafy colour

    Dear god.. didnt realise they were such bad quality, from the images it seems as thou the plastic they use cannot stand the engine temps.
    
    Definatley put me off buying one.

    To be fair that was on Keir's VTS for just under 347 years. It did ok. And his suspension was shit so I'd be suprised if the chassis didn't have similar cracks
