Shocks

I have had my saxo lowered and all it bloody does is baang and knock! I am now getting sick of tired as it makes me wanna piss! can anyone recomend any decent shocks that will cushion most of the bumps and knocks?!

you just went down on springs then?

    how low aswell

    only 35mm though looks lower

what springs did you get fitted? I've fitted Eibach kits on standard dampers with the same amount of lowering without crashing and banging.

Not sure that new dampers would cure this unless the current ones are in bad condition

low zone springs. i would rather have the originals back in at the moment!

I had shorterned bilstein shocks, to be honest they are to soft so the back end is very bouncy - standard prob would be better. Could try apex or eibachs tho.

    dont choose cheap springs !

Prob is the springs. i'm lowered 40mm on the standard shocks and the rides quiet. no bangs or knocks

    no dissing the paxo, lol

does sound like poo springs. if your down 35mm you could get a kit to match with shox or just change springs again

i got a full Apex kit for £200 over a year ago. i was also driving about in my mates car this afternoon trying to sort a buckled wheel out and he is down 60mm all round on standard shocks and there is no knocking or banging, (he bought the car like it is he didnt get it lowered like that)

Yep it wil be the springs mate. Get a set of Eibachs, either the pro kit which loweres it around 25 mm and costs around £100, or the sportline kit which lowers it around 40 mm and is about £80. I have the pro kit an the ride is fine.

I seriously dont know i didnt do it. i bought some 35mm springs and the garage that did it measured 35mm all round the car. so the drop should be even but looks a lot lower on the back

it could be something to do with the torsion bar, which is why it has went lower than 35mm at the back mate. What about going for some eibach springs an some bilstein dampers?
